This site is created in dedication to the Taiwanese TV series: Huan Zhu Ge Ge I & II based on the novel version by Qiong Yao.
Huan Zhu Ge Ge tells the story of the daughters of Emperor Qian Long during the Qing Dynasty in China.
Their adventures to get the Emperor to acknowledge them as princesses... their journey of finding happiness with their significant others... their sorrows and joys that they share with each other through it all...
They finally learned that there's a higher sky above the highest sky, a deeper ocean below the deepest oceans, and that the greatest gift in life is being able to forgive.
Not only do the series have great actors who portray their characters beautifully, they also have a remarkable storyline and deep meanings in every poem or proverbs ever mentioned in the series.
This has got to be the longest time I’ve ever spent NOT updating this site. Well, what do you expect, the show’s no longer running, I’m only doing this out of pure interest. Little motivates me.
Except for recent turn of events that is. You see, my mother is here to visit me and she’s staying with me for a month. Since she understands Mandarin, rather than having her watch English-speaking movies with me, we decided to rewatch HZGG I & II. I haven’t watched them for years.
The fire in me that lay asleep all those years, was lit again. Again, I was enamored by Erkang’s sincerity towards Ziwei, dumbfounded by Xiao Yanzi’s child-like behavior, stumped and dazzled by the Emperor’s kindness and love.
So here you find me, again updating this site. I won’t put up a new layout, no. Though I am making small updates, making this site easily viewable with less erroneous details.
One day, this shrine will be complete. One day…
